Snowspiel 2007 Rules

· No snow on the ice. Please enter from carpets areas only.

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· Games last one hour. No end may begin after 55 minutes of play. This is a points spiel. Speedy play could mean more ends thus more points.

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· Players may throw in any order at all times during the game (you can play with only two people in an end if you want).

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· There will be an immediate mandatory penalty shot (this means booze) for hogged rocks.

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· Bank shots off snow banks are legal and expected

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· If you are not curling you are on KP duty

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· No measuring. If you can’t decide - blank end (no points)

· Did you feed the Convener rum ?

· CCA rules apply except free guard zone is 6 rocks

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· When throwing with a stick feet can not pass the house

· Feed the Convener rum at every opportunity

· The final will be 8 ends after dinner

· Does the convener have a drink ? If not –2 points.

Free Advice From Past Participants

• Generally, push brooms do not work on outside ice. Dust off your old corn brooms and bring them along.
• If you want to be on the winning team, contact Ann (two time winner!)
• Dress to impress - the blog can only look as good as you do!!

When? Saturday February 17th | Games begin: 12:00 | Dinner: 18:00

How much? $10.00 per person PLUS one bottle of wine (Californian/Australian preferred)

Who? First 16 curlers to email coolrocks@sympatico.ca accepted.

Format :

• 4 team round robin play during the day
• Play as many ends as you can in one hour
• The two high score teams will play the final after dinner
• All shots (including off the snowbanks) are legal
• Trophy presentation and bragging rights follow
